Reusing Condoms leads to Serious Health Concerns

Repeatedly this has been informed to people that condoms are not reusable and washable. To an extent, that now we find it very common knowledge, but to many people, it is still unknown. People are doing that, prone to which U.S Centers for Disease Control and Preventions, tweeted reminding people about not to reuse and wash condoms after the activity.

“We say it because people do it: Don’t wash or reuse #condoms! Use a fresh one for each #sex act.”

A condom is to be used clearly after every vaginal, anal or oral activity and worn throughout the activity. Before any genital contact, put the condom on the tip of the erect penis with the rolled side out. Wrap the condom in a tissue and throw it in the trash where others won’t handle it.

There are two primary purposes for using condoms; prevention against pregnancies and Sexual Transmitted Diseases. By washing it and reusing it, the primary purposes of Condoms are destroyed, making it less effective. This means, if you are reusing it, you are increasing the risk for Sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy.

We see that there might be several reasons for people doing this. Maybe they are very reluctant to talk about it and go to the mart to buy it or the condoms are too costly for the people.

There have been multiple guides for men to how to use condoms. Condoms are not to be placed in wallet, heat, and friction could damage them, or when one sits, it can be squeezed, damaging it completely. Remember, do not use more than one condom at a time or use oil-based products like baby oil, lotion or petroleum jelly as lubricants.

It is very important to stay vigilant, if a condom has broken during the activity, immediately stop and put on the new one. These are some really significant guidelines for men to follow.

We at Klimax, have been talking about the need of openness to talk about condoms. Our movement #Alltaboosarenotbad is exactly about how essential it is to talk about condoms, to use them and to finish the embarrassment. Due to embarrassment, people may avoid going to marts to buy condoms and hence they reuse it which harms their reproductive health. Cost may be the reason behind this action of washing condoms, but at Klimax it is ensured that people get easy access of health reproductive products and services, that is why we offer our products at super reasonable prices. We keep on spreading the word to put a full stop to the embarrassment and awkwardness. We hope, soon we achieve our goal and people no longer feel any awkwardness while buying condoms. This act of ours will prevent people from reusing and washing condoms.

Using a condom and then washing it will lead it to unroll, which creates the way it fits. “Condoms are rolled up for a reason… because it makes them easier to apply when you roll it onto an erect penis,”

For beginners, one of the primary reasons for using condoms is to prevent the contraction of many sexually transmitted infections. Reusing them disrupts this. Incorrect use as using it more than once, roots out the protective effect of condoms by leading to condom breakage, slippage or leakage.

Every product is to be used in a specific manner as the manufacturer has made them be used. You should use the condom in the way it has been tested and manufactured, if you don’t do so they don’t expect the same results with the condom. You can use blankets, utensils, shoes, mop, hairbrush, clothes etc. These are reusable items. We don’t see a reason why people are confused in understanding that these items are reusable but condoms are not reusable. The purposes of these items do not diminish with, unlike condoms. Using them, again and again, can cause serious health concerns.

Many people are uncertain about how condoms are supposed to be used, so here is a little guide:

  • Check the expiration date of Condoms on the condom package. The life duration of condoms is 5 years.
  • For avoiding ripping and breaking the condom on opening the package, uncover it carefully using your fingers to gently tear the edge open. Do not use something sharp such as scissors or your teeth that could lead to accidental tearing.
  • Roll it on the penis.
  • Keep it on the penis whole time during the activity, from the start to the end, if it breaks accidentally, immediately stop and put the other one.
  • Take it off when the activity is over and whether or not ejaculation happened, toss the condom in the bin and never ever use it again.

Hope you are now clear about not using condoms repeatedly. If you do so, you will have to face serious health concerns. Remember your health is your first priority.
